Philly

August 16th, 2017

Hello Again,

I do not have much to say here! I spent a few hours at the Spruce Street Harbor Park in Philadelphia, and I took a few photos that I thought were beautiful, so I uploaded them because I figured they were worth sharing.

They will be uploaded to my Instagram page centered on Philadelphia’s picturesque. You may check it out sometime. (Most of them are yet to be uploaded, so this is an exclusive – I felt really boujee writing that!)

I perused around the Waterfront and took pictures of cool things, people, and places.I hope you like them!

#Beautiful… The few days I felt like this.

Hey, You!

Day 26| 31 Days of January Blog Challenge

Welcome back (if you care of course, and if you are new welcome!). It has been a while, and I have been busy with school so I have not been posting as religiously as I’d like. However, school is out, and I gave myself a one week break which I deserved, but that is now over.

I did not complete the January blog challenge, but here I am with an update to do just that. This will be a series of pictures of my beautiful moments so far this year! BTW, the above pic was taken at a school event, and I made that flower crown of which I am so proud.

I look like a blackberry in these photos, but it was a beautiful day. I was at an induction ceremony. #melaninbaby

I took this picture in Subway. No filter, pure sunlight, and my melanin is popping! Peep my glow though. #YassTiffany #FabulousTiffany #whenthesunlighthityouright

I had nothing to do during my little break, so naturally, I bleached my hair, as I always do! This was me attending a retirement party. #FabulousAF

IMG_2849In this photo, I was over the moon because I returned home from school after a particularly droopy day at school and my niece simply looked and me and said “Aunty Tiffany, yuh know seh yuh pretty? [did you know you are pretty?], and my spirit rose to the heavens. She then proceeded to give me a mini photo shoot and the photos were great. I slept on a cloud that night too.

P.S. She is five years old so as you can see, she has great eyes and even more talent. #FabulousTiffany #HappyAunt

I worked at a school event and one of my fellow planners took this photo for me!

Went to a beautiful formal event and this picture makes me look like I have a butt.

I just want to shed some light on my growing afro! ‘Brows are on fleek too!

So, that’s about it. Not bad at all!

Spring Break – Chinatown

Hey, You!

My plan for Spring Break 2017 was to travel somewhere warm and tropical (preferably Miami) and be a beach bum for a week.

Of course, I’d then return to the confused weather that swings from one extreme to another within hours or a day. It is 60° F here then the next day its 18° F. Why? I don’t know? Global warming is real people but that’s another topic for another day.

Instead, I decided to make the most of my time here in Philadelphia and explore some of the places that I have never been before, despite me living here for approximately five years. So I explored Chinatown a bit with a mate. I had a good day.

We went and I had Chicken Fried Rice but I didn’t enjoy it so I decided to make the most of the scenery.  But since it was snowing, I decided to take some photos outside before I left my house. Fun fact: My five(5) year old niece took these Instagram photos and I could not be happier with her and them. #FakeModelBehaviour

Dear Diary, Thoughts

Winning the Lottery or $1 Million…

Day 29

Winning the Lottery or One Million Dollars?

I would be one lucky gal if I ever won the lottery. I have never won anything in my life actually, and the chance of winning the lottery is 1 in 13.8 million, and considering my unluckiness, that chance is probably even lower. If that is even possible. So for me to win the lottery would be a testament. The same goes for me ever getting a million dollars to spend. But a girl can dream.

What would I do? The better question is what would I not be able to do because I don’t have any more money to spend because it’s all used up.

HERE’S WHAT I’D DO (of course depending on the amount):

  1. Firstly, I’d buy myself a burger, lemonade, a large fries and some pillows to really lay down and ponder upon my luck in my room.
    • Because this is all new to me and I have to make sure it’s real and not in my head, for sure. Then I’d cry my eyes out and sleep on things… no, I’d laugh until my body is cramped and there is no sound leaving my throat.
  2. Go on a trip to ponder upon my new found wealth.
    • You know, clear my head and not let the money make me make rash and unreasonable decisions.
  3. Save money to pay off my current and future tuition.
    • Because the struggle is real out here! College is mad expensive, and when we leave, for the life of me, some of us cannot get a job- but this is a rant for another time.
  4. I would use about 10 percent to start investing in stocks.
    1. Investing I hear is always good, so I would actually take a chance and push my luck here.
  5. Buy my momma a house!
    • Like all ’em rappers wish to do!
    • And why not? She did give me life, after all, it’s the least I could do.
  6. Buy me a flat/loft too.
    • I would be independent and do my own thing when I want to.Come and go as I please. Preferably somewhere cheap and warm, or just warm.
  7. Buy me a Jeep Wrangler
    • Dream vehicle. Takes me through all types of weather.
  8. Travel the world!
    • For a year because this is still a goal of mine! And blog too.
  9. Give 5 per cent to a charity/scholarship of my choice.
    • Most likely an education charity/scholarship fund based in Jamaica or the Caribbean- It hard enough out here!
  10. 15 percent is to be saved as part of my rainy day fund.
    • Because it cannot last forever. This my friends is a smart move.
  11. Whatever is left over goes into savings.
    • Yes, because I never know what might happen!
  12. Find a bloody job because it can’t last forever. Now, can it?
    • Besides, I don’t want to be that lazy person who had it all and then have nothing left when hard times come a knocking
    • Plus, shxt ain’t free!

Does this make me a bit shallow? Maybe, IDK. But that is most likely what I’d do! At least that is what I have in mind right now.

Until next time…

Stay Fabulous…

Places I’d Like to Visit…

Where would Tiffany like to go?! The better question is where wouldn’t Tiffany like the to go? Traveling and seeing the world is a big deal to me. I shall, I will, I must.

Traveling will give me a chance to have new experiences and explore diverse cultures. I want to stay woke. I want to know how and why people are motivated by their cultures.I also am interested in languages so I’ll learn while doing so.

I wish to backpack through Europe (cliché I know). This is by far a long shot and most likely wouldn’t last very long because sleeping outdoors is so not my idea of a fun time. I want to try out the excellent French cuisine and excite my taste buds with the best wine they offer. I want to see The Louvre, The Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Eiffel Tower, The London Eye, Buckingham Palace, the Colosseum, and definitely the Palace of Versailles among other places.

After I wish to explore Africa. I have been recommended Sierra Leone by a friend because she is from there, but I also want to see Nigeria, Ghana, Morocco, Kenya, South Africa, Madagascar and everywhere else I manage travel to.

Visit extremely cold countries. Iceland, Antarctica, Russia, Finland, and Greenland are some predominantly cold countries I would visit for no more than two weeks at a time.  I sincerely do not like cold weather. And the dearly beloved Canada.

Asia and Australia are the other continents I wish to visit. I want to do cliché stuff like climbing the Great Wall, going to the more beautiful and congested Asian cities like Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Osaka, Kyoto and also the less popular ones. India seems like a good destination too. I would then travel to the smaller islands and try some new foods and live among the people and do some touristy stuff too.

Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Indonesia, Thailand more exotic countries.

tumblr_mvl9lgzunf1spl3lco1_500

Roadtrip throughout the 48 mainland States. Because what better way to learn about the place where I live than to travel if that is the only traveling I ever get to do. Hopefull not.

The Caribbean. I want to start in Miami and travel throughout the Greater Antilles and Mexico and then further down into the other Caribbean Islands. I especially want to go to Trinidad & Tobago and Barbados during Carnival/ Crop Over season.  Next summer I have high hopes of traveling around the Caribbean. I especially am looking forward to going to Cuba.

I just want to travel especially to exotic places and do exotic things and photography. Where do you want to go? Leave a comment and let me know.

Until next time…

Top of my Bucket List…

There are a lot of adventures on which I would like to embark. There is so much for me to do, so hopefully I don’t die young #fingerscrossed. My goal is to take as much as I can get out of this life and die a happy gal. I shall be like a bird in the sky someday…free; so I need to start working on this list.

#1

The adventure that tops my bucket list is me traveling all around the world to meet new people, see new things and eat foods I dare try not to pronounce and those that I do. I want to live new experiences and see the world, broaden my horizon and live among the citizens and not some fancy hotel. Ultimately, the goal is to be happy. I also hope to take beautiful photographs and do a travel blog.

travel_around_the_world

Here is a list of other activities that I’d like to do:

Learn to swim. For the life of me, I cannot swim, and I was born and raised on an island. I also lived near a lot of rivers, and I am probably the only one in my family who knows not how to swim.

Work with non-profit organizations... in support of human rights (gender equality, LGBTQ rights, racial rights, etc.) I someday hope to work with the United Nations (UN) and the Human  Rights Council (HRC).

Learn at least 4 new languages. I am working on two (Spanish, French) at the moment so at least two to go.

Achieve my goal weight of somewhere between 120-140 lbs. I try every day to gain weight, but I shall see what the future holds.

I must go to Alaska…during the periods when it’s 24 hours of complete darkness and 24 hours of full sunlight. I just imagine how much of a beautiful of a time I will have. It must be nice to stargaze when Alaska experiences total darkness.

Photograph someone or something for an entire year. Photography is a hobby of mine and capturing certain moments to relive is always great. It’s like being stuck in time.

Play a musical instrument. I really really love the drums. A guitar or a piano would also suffice.

Learn to dance…Native Spanish dances tickle my fancy, so I am leaning towards those (flamenco, salsa, merengue). I also want to be superb at dancing to Dancehall music.

Write and publish a book of some kind. I am leaning towards romance novel because I’m a sucker for love; oddly enough I’m not touchy-feely, but it shall work out. Mix up my career choices a bit.digital-self-publishing

Live with no regrets. Know that everything happens for a reason somehow no matter how bad or inconvenient a situation may seem. Besides, life is too short to be worrying and having regrets. Do the things that I love and those things that make me happy.

I shall also try to make it my life duty to work hard and establish a scholarship or grant program in Jamaica so that the young people can afford to go to school without racking up millions of dollars in debt when trying to get a higher education. It’s hard out here I tell you.

What do you want to do? Let me know in the comments.

Until next time…

Stay Fabulous
